호동 is a boy whose family is very rich. He is very spoiled and has lots of toys. His grandparents give him all the toys he wants... even a talking remote-control airplane. But because he was so spoiled, he was not scared of anything and got into fights at school.
His family decided to hire a private teacher for him. His grandfather put up and ad, offering a huge amount of money for a very gifted teacher for 호동.
They hired 한 선생님. He was a very very smart man. He knew everything. He taught 호동 by conditioning him by feeding him chocolate. He would eventually obey the teacher's every command like a robot. Eventually, both the teacher and the student got fat from eating so much chocolate. The teacher became very ill and had to quit the job.
Now, 호동 would not do anything his parents told him to do... he was a robot who would only respond to his master's orders. He especially wouldn't wash himself.
His grandpa hired another teacher. This teacher had a different training style. He pushed 호동hard, not rewarding him much. But 호동 would always do his work angrily and resented his new teacher.
One day, His new teacher left him at school with a few cents. After school, it started raining, and 호동 didn't know how to get home--he had never traveled back or forth from school without riding in a car. He slowly walked in one direction, crying. His family was in a panic, thinking that their child was lost. He finally got home and rushed to the bath and washed himself. The lesson that the teacher intended to teach him was that people must learn to do things out of their own volition. His family was very thankful.
