The story is about a boy named Suhkee who visits his uncle's house over winter break. Suhkee has fun playing in the snow with a dog named Jjong. One day, Jjong stops playing with Suhkee and just stays inside the dog house. Before Suhkee returns to Seoul, his aunt and grandma make a lot of food so Suhkee leaves some 인절미 (rice cakes) in front of Jjong's dog house. In the middle of the night, Jjong gives birth to puppies and Suhkee realizes why Jjong didn't want to play. When Suhkee leaves for Seoul, his uncle tells him that he can have one of the puppies.
